Israel took part in the 20th meeting of the ISGAN Executive Committee in October 2020 as an observer. Dr. Yael Harman, Head of Technology and Renewable Energy in the Chief Scientist’s office at Israel’s Ministry of Energy presented a survey among members of Israel’s industry and academia rated ISGAN as highly interesting TCP to join.
The Israeli grid system is highly condensed and vertically integrated, moreover photovoltaic systems are the main source of renewable energy. Therefore, smart grid solutions and regulatory solutions that promote smart grid are necessary for Israel’s energy market.
ISGAN is very happy to welcome the new delegate from Israel, Dr. Gideon Friedmann, The acting Chief Scientist and Dr. Yael Harman, Head of Technology and Renewable Energy both from Israel’s Ministry of Energy in their Executive Committee.
